Fireworks Safety Tips

Follow the specific instructions on each item.

When using fireworks, a bucket of water and or a fire extinguisher should be present.

Do not use or handle fireworks under the influence of alcohol.

Light items at arm's length using a taper, never a naked flame.

Do not lean over fireworks as you ignite them.

Stand well back.

Never go back to any item once it has been lit.

Never put items in a pocket.

Never throw fireworks.

Keep pets indoors.

Use in an open area, at least two miles away from houses.

Store in a cool, dry place in a closed box, away from children or any potential hazards such as electrical outlets.

Use under close supervision.

If a firework malfunctions, do not attempt to re-light it.

After fireworks products are used, place them in water. Dispose of fireworks safely.
